Abrasion resistance

The resistance of a hardened mortar surface to wear by mechanical action.(ISO 7784-2) (EN 12808-2 Grouts for tiles)

Additive

A finely divided inorganic material that may be added to mortar in order to improve or achieve special properties.(EN 13318, EN 998)

Adhesion strength (bond strength)

The maximum adhesion strength of adhesive applied onto a substrate, which can be determined by shear or tensile strength test.

Adjustability

The maximum time interval during which adjustment is possible without significant loss of final strength.

Admixture

Organic or inorganic material added in small quantity to modify the properties of the mortar/grout in the fresh and/or hardened state.(EN 13318)

Brick

Brick is one of the material to build walls. Bricks made of baked clay to reddish colored

Cementitious adhesive

A mixture of hydraulic binder(s), aggregates, polymeric agents and other organic additives.(MS ISO 13007)

Conventional Mortar

Mixing sand and cement separately in the project site

Density

A measuremement of how tightly matter is crammed together

Dispersion Adhesive

A polymer based adhesive.(MS ISO 13007)

Instant Cement
Instant cement is a building materials product in the form of ready to use

Instant cement is is a building materials product in the form of ready to use, with base material such as selected sand, best quality of cement, premium filler & additive that was mixed homogeneously with exact composition

Mortar Utama
Mortar Utama (MU) is a building materials

Mortar Utama (MU) is a building materials product in the form of ready to use instant cement (premixed mortar), with base material such as selected sand, best quality of cement, premium filler & additive that was mixed homogeneously with exact composition and was processed using m-tec Germany technology, to produce high quality instant cement product, with good adhesive power and the ability to prevent hair-line crack on the wall.

Notched bucket trowel

A notched bucket trowel is a tool used in lightweight brick (AAC) installation. Notched bucked trowels are used to spread and comb the adhesive that is used to attach the AAC.

Notched Trowel

A notched trowel is a tool used in tile installation. Notched trowels are used to spread and comb the adhesive that is used to attach the tiles.

Open Time

The maximum time interval for finishing after application of adhesive.(MS ISO 13007)

Port Life (Working Time)

Period of time during which, after mixing, a mixed adhesive remains suitable for use.(MS ISO 13007).

Reaction Rasin Adhesive

A two part resin based mortar used for bonding materials. (MS ISO 13007)

Screed

Layer of mortar laid in situ, directly onto a base, bonded or unbonded, or onto an intermediate layer or insulation layer to produce a defined level, to carry the final flooring to provide a wearing surface.

Setting Time

The time after which the mortar begins to harden. After this time the mortar is normally stable in the presence of water.

Shear Strength

Strength determined by a force applied parallel to the mortar surface.(MS ISO 13007)

Shelf Life

The time of storage under stated conditions during which a mortar may be expected to retain its intended working properties.(MS ISO 13007)

Substrate

Immediate surface to which the adhesive is to be applied.

Tensile Strength

Resistance of a mortar surface, to resist a tensile force, applied perpendicular to the mortar surface.(MS ISO 13007)

Transverse Deformation

Deflection recorded at the centre of a mortar, when a beam is subjected to three point loading.(MS ISO 13007)

Workability

Workability is the ability of a fresh (plastic) mortar to fill the form/mold properly with the desired work (vibration) and without reducing the quality.
